Whiteville Family and Cosmetic Dentistry would like to announce, Dr. Darryl Diefes will be retiring at the end of July.
This marks the end of a 42 year adventure in dentistry, during which Dr. Diefes has touched the lives of thousands of patients. When asked about his pending retirement, he had this to say: “I feel that one chapter in my book of life is closing and another is opening—and that new chapter is as yet unwritten.”
For Dr. Diefes, the strongest memories of his dental practice are the people. He started a practice in Bladenboro in 1978 and then moved to Whiteville in 1987. Throughout his career he has been blessed to build long term relationships with his patients and their families. As he put it “We’ve seen each other through good times and bad times, and I’ve learned as much from them as they have from me, perhaps more.”
Dr. Diefes plans to retire to a cottage in Southport, NC, where he looks forward to spending some time with his family, his guitar, and hosting friends in his new kitchen as soon as circumstances allow. He offers his special thanks to his talented, dedicated and truly wonderful staff, the many other amazing professionals he has worked with along the way, and his beloved and ever-supportive wife Wanda.
Dr. Diefes represents all that is best about the science and art of dentistry. While we’re sad to see him go, all of us here at Whiteville Dentistry wish him the best in his future endeavors.
